 Allah Rakha Rahman (A.R. Rahman)  A. S. Dileep Kumar was born in Madras, Tamil Nadu, on January 6, 1967. He is an Indian music composer, record producer, performer, and songwriter who is well-known for his work in Indian cinema, primarily in Tamil and Hindi films, with occasional appearances in international cinema and an arrangement of the 20th Century Studios fanfare for Star Studios. He has won fifteen Filmfare Awards and seventeen Filmfare Awards South in addition to six National Film Awards, two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and seven Golden Globe Awards. He received the Padma Bhushan, the nation's third-highest civilian honor, from the Indian government in 2010.

A.R. Rahman's Parents' names are  R. K. Shekhar and Kareema Begum (Kashturi was her real name), His father was an Indian music composer who worked mainly for Malayalam movies. Rahman began studying piano at age four. He assisted his father in the studio, playing the keyboard. His father died when A.R. Rahman Age was 9. After that, his mother took care of the family. In 1989, he and his family converted to Islam from Hinduism after his sister felt magical relief out of her severe illness from the blessings of a Pir Qadri called Sheik Abdul Qadir Jeelani.

In 1955, A.R. Rahman got married to a beautiful Muslim woman Saira Banu( not an actress). He told his mother to find a girl for him with few conditions.  A.R. Rahman's Wife Saira Banu was not his mother's first choice. She liked her younger sister Mehrunnisa Rahman, but when she went to her home to ask for a marriage proposal, she saw Saira Banu and decided to propose her marriage to  A.R.Rehman. Now they are living happily married lives with their 3 children's names:- A. R. Ameen, Khatija Rahman, and Rahima Rahman. Ameen performed "NaNa" from Couples Retreat, while Khatija performed "Pudhiya Manidha" from Enthiran.
