 Jennifer Connelly was born on December 12, 1970, in New York City.  Jennifer Connelly's career began as a child model before making her acting debut in 1984 in Once Upon a Time in America. In 2002, Connelly won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Alicia Nash in Ron Howard's film A Beautiful Mind (2001). Connelly was named an Amnesty International Ambassador for Human Rights Education in 2005. She has appeared in ads for Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and Revlon cosmetics. In 2012, she was named the Shiseido Company's first global face.

When Connelly was 10, a friend of her father's suggested she audition as a model. Her parents sent a photo of her to the Ford Modeling Agency, who quickly signed her up. He began to concentrate on acting and worked in a number of films. She appears in Darren Aronofsky's 2014 biblical epic "Noah", as well as the action films "Alita: Battle Angel (2019)" and "Top Gun: Maverick (2019)". Since 2020, she has been starring in the TNT dystopian television series Snowpiercer.

Jennifer Connelly's Husband's name is Paul Bettany. He is also an actor who she met while filming A Beautiful Mind and married in a private family wedding in Scotland on January 1, 2003. They have two children: a son and a girl. After living in Tribeca, she and Bettany moved to Brooklyn Heights. She had a son with photographer David Dugan, with whom she had a connection prior to marrying Bettany.
